Community Support Center (CSC) Charter

This activity will facilitate the provision of Support on the Open Science Grid for those entities that do not have a Support Center and are thus not explicitly included in the OSG Operations Model. There are three components to the activity:

Design and Infrastructure

  • Management: leadership and process
  • Support mechanisms
    • Community discussion (lists/bulletin boards/chat rooms)
    • Dedicated issue tracking (roundup/bugzilla/etc)
  • Knowledgebase generation from support mechanisms
  • Scope: will be completed when Deployment commences

Deployment

  • Documentation for new OSG users
  • Marketing and Advertising
  • Scope: will be completed when Operations commences

Operations

  • Support mechanism maintenance
  • Scope: Ongoing
