ITB Release 0.1.4

Summary

• This release of the ITB will integrate major changes in the VDT.
• The information with regard to the VO servicess will be updated using the VO registration information.
• Include the MIS-CI 0.2.5 version
• Include a default policy file for resources running GUMS

Documentation

The SiteAdmins web describes how services listed below are installed, configured, and check by the site administrators. The VoAdmins page provides information for VO administrators. There are also two new pages available:

Pacman

The installation instructions are based on PacmanInfo.

OSG Cache Description

The OSG base installation is done with the pacman command

VDT

We will use release 1.3.3 of the VirtualDataToolkit 1.3.3, see release notes.

Bug Fixes

• The Globus log rotation cron job will no longer complain about compress options.
• EDG-MakeGridmap can now build grid-mapfiles from the VOMS server included with VDT 1.3.3.
• You no longer need to restart Apache and Tomcat after installing VOMS or jClarens.
• jClarens no longer creates extra directories in /home.
• The VDT will now install on an AFS file system.
• The configure_voms script can now be run after the installation to set up additional VOs.
• The Globus GRIS works properly again. This corrects serious bugs in VDT 1.3.1 and 1.3.2.

Globus 4 gridftp

Version 3.9.5 Gridftp is included in VDT 1.3.3 and later. The GridFTP page describes the service integration plan for OSG.

Core MIS

Description of the CoreMIS infrastructure to be used. MIS-CI Version 0.2.5 Started by default? Service certificate?

Grid Cat

Description of the GridCat site monitoring catalog to be used.

Monalisa

Any special configuration needed for MonALISA for this release, noted here.

Privilege

Description of PrivilegeOSG options for this release.

Discovery Service

Description of the ClarensDiscoveryService deployed in this release.

The Discovery Service version 0.5.3 is deployed on a JClarens server version 0.5.3 for this OTB release.

Disk Resource Manager

This release of the ITB will use 1.2.6a of the DiskResourceManager.

CMS Tier1 SE

The service is based on SRM-dCACHE and satisfies the SRM V1.1 interface, with additions for implicit space reservation. CMSSrmdCache provides the readiness plan. The service will be available to all registered OSG VO's. To use the SE requires an SRM V1.1 compatible client. This is available from VDT (as part of the DRM package) or from anonymous ftp to fnkits.fnal.gov://products/srmcp/v1_11/NULL (v1.12 almost available and should probably be the version deployed.)
