VDT 1.8.1b release

• Released today!
• See web for details - Globus patches, tomcat security.

OSG 0.8

• Will be out today.
• Last minute change - added myproxy to wn-client.
• One new RSV probe - class ad validity test probe; checks attributes.
• By default, syslog-ng is installed but is not sending data by default. Sites will need to review.
• syslog-ng: lets discuss at sites admin meeting.

The first OSG 0.8 site

• This will likely be Fermigrid.

VO validation

• Unresolved VO testing summary - what didn't get done?
• We received green flags from 11/12 VOs.
• Only compbiogrid remains - there is a problem with either voms-proxy-init or their voms server.
• Few unresolved problems: cms had issues w/ srmcp and workernodes behind firewalls (works for srmcp-v1 if you limit number of streams to 1, won't open a socket for response)

Deployment troubleshooting campaign (Anand)

• Team to stand by the help with problems, similar to the user's campaign.
• Will setup a twiki, goc form, etc.
• Help w/ simplified validation page.

• OSG 0.4 sites will be removed after January 4
• Site admins meeting at Fermilab Dec 12-13
  • site and grid service monitoring, Nagios consoles, etc.
• Next week: site coordination meeting
• Side-by-side versus insitu-updates. 4 people here prefer side-by-side
