OSG Troubleshooting Activity

About Troubleshooting in OSG

The OSG Troubleshooting program of work, a part of the OSG Facility, covers troubleshooting support for the OSG production and integration infrastructure.

See TroubleshootingStructure for an overview of who the troubleshooters are, the history of the group, and the workflow of an engagement.

Requesting troubleshooting assistance

First, see if the Troubleshooting Guide and Tips can answer your questions. A Troubleshooting FAQ for users will provide you answers to some common challenges.

The Troubleshooting team runs two active campaigns:

We ask that the general OSG user community and VOs normally filter problems through the Grid Operation Center rather than going straight to the troubleshooting team. We provide forms:

The troubleshooting team responds to requests from the Grid Operation Center, the Virtual Data Toolkit Team, and as needed, from individual VirtualOrganizations?/VOInfo support centers and users (please use the forms).

Prioritization

All the problems reported will be prioritized dynamically and the priority will be approved by the OSG Executive Team periodically. The troubleshooting team will always focus on highest-priority problems while assuring progress on solving all problems.

Active and resolved problems
